Team/division description:
The Homologation team is responsible for managing the vehicle certification/accreditation of Toyota/Lexus vehicles to proof that they meet the mandatory regulatory standards for the sales countries. We have a broad operational network starting from the vehicle/parts designers up to the Toyota/Lexus importers in all European countries.
The key division activities are:
Project management
Legal compliance confirmation
Testing & certification
We also have a homologation helpdesk to support our end-users (designers, marketing, aftersales and Toyota/Lexus importers) with any relevant Homologation requests.
Your responsibilities:
(I) Vehicle Legal Compliance Check (Main Activity)
You will ensure that the vehicle design is in line with the regulation requirements applicable in the sales countries by:
Planning, organizing and managing the compliance check project(s) for the assigned vehicle model(s).
Supporting the parts designers during the compliance check operational activity with regards to
• All process steps and system operation
• Clarification & Interpretation of the regulation requirements
Confirming together with the designers the validity of their compliance check data input
Reporting the results to Homologation & Project Management.
(II) Regulation Responsibility
You will be the Homologation Expert for vehicle related regulations by:
Taking responsibility for a number of assigned Technical Regulations
Studying and summarizing the Regulation, technical requirements & homologation test procedures
Following the Regulation movement/interpretations and report changes through the official channels
Supporting the homologation testing engineers for your assigned legislations (EU, UN and National) TOYOTA MOTOR EUROPE NV/SA
(III) Country Responsibility
You will act as the 1st point of contact for homologation questions from European Toyota sales companies by:
Following & reporting in detail the vehicle legislation movement for the assigned countries in cooperation with the homologation manager at the Toyota sales company
Analyzing the impact of national legislation changes on the Toyota/Lexus vehicle projects.
Supporting the sales companies with any issue that affect Homologation.
You are fluent in English (TME business language)
You have a bachelor or master degree in engineering, experience in a Homologation or Quality division is an advantage
You have good knowledge of automobile structure
You have good Microsoft Office skills
You are organized and accurate
You are a consensus-builder to convince stakeholders to meet milestones and deadlines
You have strong perseverance skills
You are a good communicator and planner
