Senior Automotive Design Engineer Job Description

Function:

• Responsible for design and development of high temperature sensors components (ceramics, screen-printing inks and sintered structures) for the automotive industry.
• A Design Engineer at Sensata finds solutions for customer needs. Fits specifications and translates this to components and assembly.
• Tests and proves agreed on specifications.
• Is responsible for the product, from first customer contact until mass assembly.
• Works in international teams and with international customers.

• Works in project teams on design of sensors
• Is co-responsible for progress of the project
• Stays in contact with customers and suppliers on a regular basis.

Senior Automotive Design Engineer Job Requirements

Educational requirements:

• Master in Mechanical Engineering

• Min 5 years of experience in Mechanical design for the automotive industry
• Proven experience with Automotive Customer interaction
• Experience with sensor design, supplier interaction, project work and SixSigma is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of English, working knowledge of German
• Able to travel abroad
• Result oriented
