Introduction
This position is within the Customer Support (CS) sector. The CS organization is responsible for the installation, qualification, repair and maintenance of the systems at our customers' sites. The Customer Support Upgrades (CSU) department within CS manages the execution of complex upgrades on machines at customer sites. These upgrades are run 24/7 in a customer production environment with a team of 15-40 engineers over a period of 1-8 weeks.
CSU is a department with approximately 120 people, the majority working in customer fabs all over the world. Our mission statement: Manage and execute complex field upgrades to unlock the potential of products for our customers.”
Job Mission
As the CSU Safety Expert you are responsible for adherence of all safety guidelines as defined by corporate EHS department within your functional area. Where needed you will drive the improvement of the guidelines and processes. You will be the CS Upgrades safety ambassador in the field.
Job Description
Within the CSU team, you are responsible for communication and support the implementation of the relevant safety guidelines from EHS corporate to all team members. Identify the gap between desired and actual situation and define the actions to close the gap. Support CSU staff in raising overall safety awareness in the department and advise the CSU staff on any safety related topics. You have a exemplary behavior role within the organization.
You will:
• Be the safety contact person for CSU team and collaborate with local safety representive of our client and the customer.
• Develop written instructions on the Standard Way of Working of the CSU department in relation to safety and where needed provide dedicated training to ensure all team members understand and are able to apply the safety guidelines in their daily work.
• In collaboration with the WW CS Safety organization, plan and roll out safety awareness sessions for the Upgrade teams.
• Instruct all team members how to report safety issues in a incident reporting and tracking system and provide monthly inputs to the CS Wordwide Safety Dashboard.
• Setup a routine review process with CSU management to identify containment and structural follow up for reported safety issues.
• Represent the CSU department in the to be setup CS safety review meeting to ensure ownership for structural solution of reported safety issues.
• Drive safety training completion for all CSU team members, defined per platform and per role and provide inputs for the CS Worldwide Safety Dashboard.
• Perform onsite audits in the field and factory, report your findings and work together with EHS corporate department on structural improvements.
• BSc or MSc technical education
• Safety professional at HVK (Hoger Veiligheids Kundige) level or MVK+ (middelbaar veiligheidskundige) with experience or equivalent
Experience:
• At least 5 years experience as a safety expert in a high-tech company
• Experience with setting up a safety organization in a large high-tech company is a plus.
• Experience in an international organization.
• Good presentation skills in English.
• Proficient in use of MSoffice applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
