Quality Engineer European Distribution Center Job Description
- Responsible for the introduction and/or upgrade of the warehouse processes leading to a high quality output of the EDC.
- Lead, implement and actively participate in EDC Quality Assurance/Control improvement projects (product & process), including training.
- Participate within key business focused projects in the organization.
- Assist with the management of Non Conformance, Audits, Calibration, Maintenance and Supplier Quality Management
- Support the Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, TS16949, EN9100, …)
- Support the lean culture deployment in warehousing including the Lean Daily Management and 8 Steps Problem Solving
- Assist with the management of product ship holds, recall disposition, product returns and customer complaints
- Creates 8D reports
- Enables and supports Change management processes
- Ensure all customer returns, which require quality involvement and/or complaints handling/investigating in a timely matter
- Generate QA reports as required and reporting at site and International management reviews
- Monitor and trend Quality related KPI’s for the site on a regular basis
- Represent EDC on International quality initiatives
- Liaise with International manufacturing sites, subcontractors and external suppliers
- Execute internal audits on the Zele site and supportsupplier audits
- Ensure all documentation and coordination of compliance is maintained
- Apply PDCA where applicable in order to reduce quality complaints
- Take the lead for FMEA
The EDC Quality Engineer has the authority to:
- Train and support warehouse personnel in receiving related QA-activities
- Train and support warehouse personnel in customer QA-complaint activities
- Correct warehouse personnel in case agreed methods in warehouse operations are not being followed
- Stop receiving and/or shipping to correct quality problems
Quality Engineer European Distribution Center Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree by preference in Engineering or Sciences or proven track record in Quality
- Minimum of 3 years working within QA department
- Good business acumen
- Fluent Dutch and English in written and spoken language
- Basic understanding of French and German
- Project management: ability to drive and deliver projects
- Structured way of working, data driven, excellent analytical ability
- Knowledge of QA processes/lean/management systems + ISO9001, …
