CAE Integration Engineer Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Reports to the Supervisor, Virtual Analysis and Supplier Integration.
• Establish & maintain CAE Master Model Lists which define the CAE control model content for all CAE attributes for all carline CAE events.
• Coordinate CAE requirements and CAD deliverables with PMTs and CAE Attribute Teams.
• Define Engineering Statement of Work (E-SoW) CAE content.
• Ensure in time delivery of quality CAE models from suppliers as required by attribute CAE teams.
• Ensure timely delivery of non-geometric data (e.g. weight data) as required by attribute CAE teams.
• Track the delivery status of CAD and non-geometric data and report to program management.
• Establish and maintain CAE work plans of all attribute CAE teams & lead the weekly CAE PAT.
• Facilitate CAE attribute assessment events (CAE report out to program management) at all relevant program milestones (Virtual Series / DPA).
• Ensure gateway documentation according to GPDS and GIS requirements.
• Act as first level contact for attribute CAE teams regarding CAE PIM process & system issues.
• Improve CAD/CAE data exchange process and methods.
• Facilitate the creation of mesh models for 'Build to Print' parts with Ford India.
• Develop CAE Integration process improvements and coordinate process communization across CBGs. Represent FoE within FMC and network with CAE Integration and CAE PIM engineers.
   

• Basic understanding of CAE / FEA (NVH, Crash, Durability), NO analysis required.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Good communication skills, verbal & written.
   

• Ability to use the Altair Hyperworks suite of tools to check models.
• Background in CAE / FEA analysis.
