Component engineer - HVAC Job Description

Position Description:
As a component engineer for climate you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the successful development of the HVAC unit for our customers exciting new commercial vehicle programme.  The candidate will be Liaising with suppliers, running PMST meetings and supporting program PMT meetings. Responsibilities will also include maintaining programme specific documents as outlined in GPDS, including the FMEA & DVP.
 
Experience:
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:

• Climate component development [HVAC, compressor, A/C lines] or A/C systems development within an automotive OEM.
• Familiar with the GPDS project management process.
• Familiar [but not essential] with the following engineering tools [or similar]:
  • WERS
  • Efdvs
  • AVBOM
  • Teamcentre
  • VisMockup
• Strong candidates with a background in automotive engineering, with experience of relevant components [IP’s, Consoles etc.], systems, materials and production processes used in the manufacture will also be considered.

• Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level.
