Material Controller Job Description

Material Controller
Schiedam, fulltime

Job description 
In the position of material controller you are able to set up coding structure with engineering and procurement and code material request forms. You are familiar with process changes of MTO’s, PO’s and planning. You maintain consistency in materials from net to gross material requirement and link existing stock materials to the project specific MTO’s. In addition, a logical set of rules are developed to check the database on MTO and PO in quantity, cost and time as well as actual reports at request on quantities and timing of materials. You translate contractual pricing mechanisms into a data model and liaise with engineers, package managers, cost engineering, procurement, planning and project management.

Who are we looking for?
• Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering, logistics or business administration; 
• Logistical management experience of 2-3 years;
• You have knowledge of relevant business and logistical processes, relevant contract mechanisms (Oil & gas industry and/or engineering to build industry); 
• Fluency in English and Dutch; 
• Experience with data modelling of supply chain in Access or other databases; 
• Knowledge of work methods and sequence of shipbuilding activities, engineering to build industry Acquaintance with office automation tools and databases such as access in particular.
