- Participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development, including specification, programming, maintenance, client training, data conversion and testing while achieving the successful development and implementation of the client's business systems.
- Deliver high-quality business systems designs, analysis, programming, and physical data modeling products on schedule, within prescribed resource limits, and in accordance with client requirements and departmental standards.
- Acquire a fundamental knowledge of his/her client's business sector while determining business needs requiring automation.
- Focus on system performance, system communications and operational components of the application.
- Work in a team environment.
Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities - Develop time estimates for assigned tasks.
- Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written by either the incumbent or others.
- Develop testing requirements, prepare and document test data for unit and system testing.
- Provide support for production systems. Use problem-solving skills to assist in resolution of business problems.
- Develop analytical skills to resolve technical problems. Identify root causes for problems and propose solutions to prevent recurring problems.
- Develop business or functional knowledge by responding to and resolving increasingly complex user questions, problems and inquiries.
- Provide guidance and mentor less experienced programmers so that they develop their application skills.
- Develop solid understanding of the application infrastructure and system development life cycle.
- Begin to work with business vendors to resolve day-to-day problems or make process changes.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out service, as required.

- Industrial Engineer in Automation or a related field (Bachelor’s degree with additional experience will be considered).
- At least 3 years of relevant industrial experience is required.
- Intermediate level of English (written / spoken) is an advantage.
- Industrial experience with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) Logix family PLCs is a distinct advantage.
