Job MissionAccurately polish ASML products in accordance with the established specification statements. Make improvements to existing products and processes, and guide the implementation of new products and processes. Ensure quality and standardization while contributing to improvements in effectivity and efficiency. Reports to Group Lead and works with other departments within Manufacturing, Logistics, D&E, Industrial Engineering and customer support. Job DescriptionWithout direct supervision, pitch polish optics to desired specification using spindle polishing machines. Clean, inspect, and test optics using a variety of equipment. Verify the accuracy of finished product, as well as support processes and product development. Accountabilities:
-Ability to polish precision optics on conventional spindles.
-Ability to work safely on fragile, high value optics.
-Perform blocking and unblocking of parts.
-Ability to work with pitch, pressing and cutting laps.
-Perform visual surface inspection of all optical components to ISO standards.
-Protect and clean components.
-Measure work-piece for conformance to specifications using various measuring equipment, including but not limited to the Zygo Interferometer.
-Notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
-Follows written and verbal English work instructions that describe the process and the required measurements.
-Possesses blueprint interpretation skills.
-Be familiar with using the following measurement tools: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, and pH meters.
-Maintain a safe operating environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
-Candidate will be required to wear PPE where appropriate and embrace the ASML 8S requirements. EducationHigh School / trade school graduate / G.E.D, or equivalent experience. Experience-Proven knowledge (5+ Years) of optical spindle polishing.
-Intermediate mathematical skills including use of basic math and geometry.
