Concept & Feasability Engineer Job Description

Do you want to make the difference? And are you the out-of-the-box thinking engineer who explores new technologies, creates new concepts for multidisciplinary developments as technical partner of the R&D project leader. 

Your department
The department of Research and Development (R&D) plays a key role in the continuous investments in development of new products and technologies in order to strengthen our position and differentiate our products.

Your position
In the challenging position of Concept & Feasibility Engineer within R&D, you are technically responsible for the conceptual development of multidisciplinary products. As a technical partner of the project leader you are the key person during the feasibility phase and the development phase towards the realization of a proof of concept or prototype. You create new concepts during brainstorm sessions with your team and prove the technical feasibility by mitigating the most critical risks. You are an analytical and creative thinker, an entrepreneur and have the drive to bring new ideas to life. 

Tasks and responsibilities

• Organize and lead brainstorm sessions with stakeholders to create conceptual alternatives and perform trade-offs
• Create models and realize prototypes to guide the decision making process
• Secure and validate requirements related to the product development
• You are responsible for the technical function of the product development
• Responsible for proving the technical feasibility of new concepts/products during a feasibility study
• Pro-active co-ordination and communication with internal and external specialists, project leader and other stakeholders

Concept & Feasability Engineer Job Requirements

 Your profile

• You have a technical Master degree
• Strong interest and/or relevant experience in Industrial Automation
• Broad technical knowledge and/or interest in mechanics, mechatronics, equipment control software, logistics control, electronics, robotics and sensors. Experience with requirements engineering, design and development processes like V-model, Scrum and Agile is an advantage
• You think out-of-the-box, you are analytical, cooperative and independent. 
• You are able to speak, read and write in Dutch (or willing to learn) and English.
