Our team
The Production Control department is based in our European head office in Brussels and responsible:
- To understand the needs of the market, through Sales functions, and understand the constraints of manufacturing (to produce vehicles efficiently) and agree the quantity of vehicles to be produced that best supports TME's overall requirement
- To make a detailed production plan as a foundation for the operations of each European Manufacturing Company (EMC)
- Identify possible bottlenecks to be tackled to support long term demand
- To review the performance of the EMC's and promote improvements so as to improve our capability to efficiently meet market demand
- The department is directly overviewing the operations of 4 Vehicle and 3 Units (Engine and Transmission) plants in Europe.
Your responsibilities - As part of the team, you will be required to:
- Understand Toyota Motor Europe's status, direction and challenges and thus what is required (from Supply and specifically EMCs)
- Understand the EMCs conditions (current, past performance etc), restrictions, flexibility
- Grasp the Sales demand and understand it (Risk & opportunity, trend etc)
- Make proposals for production plans considering the above (including the longer term perspective)
- Get agreement for production volumes with EMC's and TME Top Management
- Make and issue the Production Plan (Short Term and Long Term)
- Grasp the concerns toward meeting future demand (eg capacity restrictions, performance < plan) and facilitate solutions - including mobilizing other divisions to support.
- Support / contribute to the other responsibilities of the department( crisis management, build-to-order enhancement, Plant kaizen operations, supplier capacity confirmation, etc…)

Graduate Production Control Department Job Requirements
Your profile
- Master degree with Supply Chain / Engineering / Logistics / Economics or Business Management background, with max.18 months work experience
- Exposure to international environment, through study or work experience
- Good communication and negotiation skills based on fact based analysis
- Strong analytic and numerical skills, very detail oriented
- Well organized, able to manage peak periods
- Proactive attitude and multitasking competences
- Tenacious in nature and taking deadlines very seriously
- Mature personality capable of liaising with all levels of the organisation
- Strong PC literacy, and good knowledge in Excel/Access
- Fluent in English, any other language will be considered as an asset.
- Willingness to travel (business trips to EMC's etc) (up to 10% of working time)
