Head of the Geotechnics Department (f/m) Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- leading and further developing the Geotechnics team in our office in Rum / Innsbruck (technically and disciplinary)
- supporting project managers by sharing your broad technical expertise and know-how in soil mechanics, foundation engineering and tunnelling
- developing and maintaining business relations at national and international level
- coordinating geotechnical issues and working closely with other engineering departments and international ILF offices
- representing ILF with clients, project partners, authorities and at the constructions sites
- taking full responsibility for results and budgets
Head of the Geotechnics Department (f/m) Job Requirements
- a university degree in civil engineering with a specialisation in geotechnics or comparable education
- a minimum of 7 years of experience in geotechnics (soil mechanics, foundation engineering and tunnelling)
- experience in the application of expert software for numerical modelling (2D / 3D finite element calculation)
- experience in contract management, standardisation and documentation
- excellent command of English and German
- profound technical know-how, sense of responsibility and consultancy and leadership skills
willingness to travel (worldwide) and confident and competent demeanour combined with strong communication skills
