Lead Engineer / Project Manager (Food) Job Description

As Lead Engineer and Project Manager you execute large projects from project scope definition through commercial realization, plant installation, commissioning and operation. You work closely with customers, all Key staff, subcontractors and strategic partners, to ensure successful project definition and project execution. In this responsible job you are responsible for project coordination, communication and issue resolution from inception through full customer acceptance. You monitor success of project over time.

Your responsibilities:

• Assisting in developing strategies to meet the customers' goals, needs and expectations, in collaboration with the sales team.
• Assist and direct generation of project quotations and presentation materials.
• Developing/modify process line layouts.
• Preparing project budgets, timelines and provides customers with deliverable and schedule estimations.
• Managing project costs throughout the process and communicate changes to customer in a timely manner.
• Leading project meetings with customer, Key personnel, subcontractors, and others as appropriate.
• Developing process flow diagrams and publishing project status reports.
• Leading factory acceptance tests.

Lead Engineer / Project Manager (Food) Job Requirements

Job requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Design)
• Minimum of ten years relevant experience, preferably in the Food Processing Industry
• Understanding of Project Management principles, CPM, PERT and Gantt chart scheduling
• Able to create and modify CAD 2D and preferable 3D drawings
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English, other European languages would be a plus
• Good communication skills, intercultural understanding and dealings
• Willingness to frequently travel.
