An interesting opportunity in the area of aftersales. In the age of digitalisation, the automobile is becoming a part of our networked lives in the context of individual mobility. The networking of vehicle functions is currently the basis for numerous automotive innovations. The next logical step is networking vehicles with their environment via innovative cloud technology. This technology opens up completely new areas of application: vehicles measuring street geometry while driving, creating a live digital map and vehicle sensors detecting a hazard area and reporting this to other vehicles via the backend. Road, traffic and weather conditions are recorded in real time. Our job is to establish a consistent digital location experience across all access channels and vehicle utilisation scenarios.
As Software Developer (m/f) for Digital Services, you will be responsible for the development and management of development processes in the area of apps and web frontends for new digital services. In the management area, you will design the use of tools for development, error analysis and tracking, analytics, A/B testing and other methods for agile product evaluation and improvement. Your tasks will also include the conception, procurement, setup and operation of a distributed test infrastructure for vehicle-related applications. Your activities in the development area will comprise various application platforms for smartphone-based applications for iOS, Android and Windows Mobile, along with web-based applications. This includes the design and implementation of interfaces to the vehicle system (via BT or WiFi) as well as backend systems (via GSM / LTE) primarily using REST-based communication. You will coordinate your efforts closely with various product owners considering feasibility, efficiency, ease of maintenance and scalability of the solutions that are to be implemented. The development process is based on the Scrum methodology
whereby you will take over various roles as a Scrum Member (m/f) or Master (m/f) with the management of other internal or external Scrum Members.
