As Project Manager you deliver IT Project Management and manage the IT project portfolio in operations and infrastructure area. You ensure that the IT Project Management Process and the standardized Project Management Methodology is deployed and embedded to improve project execution and control.
Job Description
You are the Project Manager that can take ownership in complex projects that can have impact across ASML. You ensure that projects are well embedded within boundaries.You will get enthusiastic by taking ownership for and having in-depth understanding of key project content.
Strong alignment between business and IT in general and all project stakeholders in specific is piece of cake for you.Time, Budget and Scope are interesting topics for you. Besides this you can ensure accurate, timely and to the point project status reporting on critical key issues and actions embedded in project plan and process. You differentiate main points from details, and secure simple and concise formulation of project related documents like Project Initiation Document (PID), blueprint, requirements, detailed project plan.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Project Reporting & Monitoring:
- Ensure timely delivery & quality of overall reporting and project management deliverables.
- Provide guidance during the financial forecasting (budget) process and proactively assist regular financial management.
- Prepare communication and escalations on issues, risks and required mitigation actions to the project sponsor and stakeholders.
Project management:- Understand the business requirements and ensure that 'the product' will satisfy these.
- Prepare and control project schedules that accurately reflect tasks, time estimates and resources (including personnel, technology and equipment) associated with each task to reach project deliverables. Define project roles and responsibilities.
- Measure project deliverables on quality and completeness regularly to ensure that the project will satisfy the relevant quality standards.
- Perform pro-active stakeholder management and contribute to change management as required.
Improvements:- Capture lessons learned during the project and share these pro-actively with Project Board at project phase gates and closure, and provide (mitigating) actions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality standards.
What kind of project (as example) are you working on when you start as Project Manager?
- Managing the current operation projects;
- Lifecycle Management projects;
- Upgrading applications.
Projects vary in size and time, approximately 100-1000k projects. You will be managing a dynamic team of resources which must be shared with other Project Managers.
Context of the position The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML's internal and external activities.
A sub-department within the IT organization is the Competence Center Operations & infrastructure (O&I). This Competence Center provides all IT support services. This includes generic IT infrastructure services like laptops and desktops, telecom services, network and datacenters for which we ensure that these services are running in an optimal way and we look at innovating the services. We also support the IT applications that are used at ASML.

Academic working and thinking level, ideally, candidate will have a Master degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience
Are you the Project Manager that we are looking for?
- 5 - 10 years recent hands-on experience as a Project Manager;
- Proven track record on Infrastructure projects is a must;
- Experience of IT integration projects is a pre;
- Sound knowledge of project management methodologies like PRINCE2, PMBOK and Scrum/Agile
- Fluent in English.
