As Senior Project Manager you deliver IT Project Management and manage the IT project portfolio in Supply Chain Management & Manufacturing area. You ensure that the IT Project Management Process and the standardized Project Management Methodology is deployed and embedded to improve project execution and control.
Job Description
You are the Project Manager that takes ownership in complex projects that have impact across ASML. You ensure that projects are well embedded within boundaries.You get enthusiastic by taking ownership for and having in-depth understanding of key project content.
Reaching strong alignment between business and IT in general and all project stakeholders in specific is piece of cake for you.Time, Budget and Scope are driving topics for you. Besides this you can ensure accurate, timely and to the point project status reporting on critical key issues and actions embedded in project plan and process. You differentiate main points from details, and secure simple and concise formulation of project related documents like Project Initiation Document (PID), blueprint, requirements, detailed project plan.
As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Project Reporting & Monitoring:
- Ensure timely delivery & quality of overall reporting and project management deliverables.
- Provide guidance during the financial forecasting (budget) process and proactively assist regular financial management.
- Prepare communication and escalations on issues, risks and required mitigation actions to the project sponsor and stakeholders.
Project management:- Understand the business requirements and ensure that 'the product' will satisfy these.
- Prepare and control project schedules that accurately reflect tasks, time estimates and resources (including personnel, technology and equipment) associated with each task to reach project deliverables. Define project roles and responsibilities.
- Measure project deliverables on quality and completeness regularly to ensure that the project will satisfy the relevant quality standards.
- Perform pro-active stakeholder management and contribute to change management as required.
Improvements:- Capture lessons learned during the project and share these pro-actively with Project Board at project phase gates and closure, and provide (mitigating) actions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality standards.
The kind of projects you will be working on when you start as Senior Project Manager:
- Approximately 3 out of 4 projects are SAP related. Other kind of projects are typically in the areas of:
- Advanced Supply Chain Planning;
- Transport Management;
- RFID;
- Non-PR procurement.
Projects vary in size and time. Larger projects go over 1MEUR and up to 1 year lead time. Projects with strong interdependencies are managed as a program.You will be working with a (small) team of consultants, process analysts, architects, and business stake holders.
Context of the position The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and (automation and optimization of) key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML's internal and external activities. A sub-department within the IT organization is the IT Competence Center Supply Chain Management & manufacturing.
This Competence Center is responsible for providing the right IT systems for the core business processes of Operations (Manufacturing, Logistics, Central Planning, Sourcing, Quality & Process Improvements and Facility Management). Customers of this department are internal customers, whose goal is to provide world class systems and services for all major chip makers around the world, and who therefore need the best tools available.

Education
Academic working and thinking level, ideally, candidate will have a Master degree in field of Technology, IT or Business.
Experience
Are you the Project Manager that we are looking for?
- 10 years hands-on experience as a Project Manager:
- Knowledge of SAP implementations is a must;
- Background in supply chain management or manufacturing is a strong pre;
- Proven track-record in leading multi-disciplinary project/program teams;
- Sound knowledge of project management methodologies like PRINCE2, PMBOK and Scrum/Agile;
- Fluent in English.
