Process Engineer
Your core purpose in this role is to sustain production by structurally solving technological problems. You also define and lead projects that improve process safety, product quality, plant output, production cost and environmental impact. The production process is complex, comprising both batch wise and continuously operated sections. A large part of downstream processing consists of solid material handling. Due to the hazardous nature of the materials used, the site falls within the ‘BRZO regime’. The plant is certified regarding quality and environmental management, labor safety and food safety. You will be part of a multinational and multicultural organization that is committed to your personal and professional development.
Responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context you are responsible for a wide range of activities, developing yourself acting as a knowledge gatekeeper for the complete CMC production process. You solve production problems and optimize product recipes and plant settings, as well as leading their implementation in the production plant.
You identify improvement opportunities in both processes and procedures, preparing project proposals and implementing quick wins. During implementation of changes, you act as a lead for commissioning and start-up activities and for training plant personnel. Furthermore, you define and coordinate pilot plant experiments and plant trials, and evaluate their results.
Another important role of the Process Engineer is to advise and provide input regarding compliance with both corporate standards and legislation. As such you will be involved in conducting risk analyses, hazard studies and FMEA.
