Procurement Account Manager
Accelerating global procurement capability by driving cost down activities and delivering best in class procurement and supply chain
Your role
You set-up and maintain global supply chains resulting in a lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Your focus is driving cost down activities and achieving product cost reduction through value engineering, value stream mapping and supply chain optimization. You represent procurement during all phases of the product creation process.
In conjunction with your colleagues from Supply Chain, Quality and commodity teams you drive the process of cost down activities, supply chain identification and supplier selection. You manage cost drivers, performance and total costs in order to improve cost roadmaps for key products continuously. Pro-actively you identify and deliver concept savings, should-cost assessments and cost improvement opportunities. You provide your internal stakeholders (Product Development, Manufacturing) and external suppliers with accurate cost estimates and challenge them to further optimize the product design and supply chain whilst building and maintaining effective key stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
In your assigned portfolio and projects you guide and engage product development and suppliers where efficiency or cost improvement opportunities exist and/or changes are required.
You report to the Manager Procurement.

• You have 5-10 years (technical) procurement experience. Strong affinity for high-tech products and technology is required. Knowledge on implementation of lean strategies and value engineering is highly appreciated
• Proven track record of leading and delivering successful cost down projects, and building and maintaining relationships internally and externally
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills, capable of driving several purchasing projects simultaneously and working under pressure
• Proven ability to lead and inspire stakeholders and management
• Business mind entrepreneurial, structured, pro-active, drive for results and a team player
• A high level of written and verbal ability in order to communicate data and recommendations in compelling presentations. Excellent communication skills in English

Procurement Product Related (± 80 professionals) is divided over four manufacturing and innovation centers worldwide and is responsible for procurement of all product related parts. Our key account management activities are organized worldwide, and part of our Global Procurement department. For our most strategic suppliers key account management is responsible for assuring continuity of supply at the best possible Total Cost of Ownership of desired goods and services.
