Engine Mounts Design Engineer Job Description

Position Description:
Catia V5 Design Engineer required for engine mounting and subframe upgrades for Evora R program, revised engine mount locations and subfame modifications to suit and provide improved performance.
 
Inputs:

• Engine mount design knowledge
• Very good mechanical design skill (lightweight & DFM)
• High levels of Catia V5 & Smarteam skills
• Ability to produce and check detail drawing's and specification

• Deliverables Design and deliver engine mount and subframe assembly to meet the criteria set
• Produce 3D feasibility studies to support manufacturing and supplier reviews Support package reviews as required Develop fixing and mounting strategies for all parts
• Conduct assembly checks to confirm suitability for production
• Produce fully defined 3D models Support supplier feasibility reviews
• Continually update 3D models to enable manufacturability
• Conduct initial tolerance study
• Prepare 3D CAD and 2D drawings for EP release
• Produce fully defined 2D drawings to support production release
• Produce final 3D CAD to support production release required etc.
