CAD Engineer (Chassis) Job Description

The Design Engineer will be working within the Chassis / HVAC team, reporting to the Lead Engineer, and responsible for the generation of 3D concepts, 2D drawings and final tooling release data.
Current requirements are for the following:

• 1x HVAC
• 1x Chassis System Components.
• 1x Chassis Structure.
• 2x Chassis Dynamics Structures.

• Undertake Chassis / HVAC component feasibility and generation of concepts in 3D CAD using Catia V5R19

• Development of 3D data suitable for supplier tooling
• To produce high quality 2D drawings
• Application of GD & T to drawing
• Undertake problem solving activities in support of current engineering and production
• Presentation of design concepts to engineering and management team as required

• Experienced Automotive CAD design engineer with good knowledge of Chassis / HVAC development
• 3000 hours Catia V5

• Previous experience of working on product launch programmes
• Proficient in the use of MS Powerpoint
• Knowledge of 8D problem solving principles
• Knowledge of low volume manufacturing processes and principles

• 6 months duration.
• 38 hours per week contract.
