CAE Engineer - Structural Analysis Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

• Primarily strength, stiffness and durability analysis using Nastran or Optistruct, with Hypermesh or Patran for pre-processing and Hyperview or Patran for post-processing.
• Experience in using most of these software packages is required.
• Familiarity with Oasys Primer would be an advantage.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis at component, system and vehicle level.
• Experience mixed material vehicle structures (including aluminium and composite) is preferred.

• The main output will be preparation of models, analysis of models and post-processing of models and from the data extracted, recommendations for achieving targets will be expected.
• The recommendations will be included in PowerPoint based summary reports and be presented to cross-functional teams for decision making.
• The candidate will be responsible for good data management practices.
