Sales & Marketing Manager Saudia Arabia

The job
Our client is an industrial parts manufacturer in Saudi Arabia which supplies multiple markets in the region as well as exporting to Europe and Asia.
As a Sales & Marketing Manager you are responsible for all the Sales and Marketing activities in Saudi Arabia. You will report direct to the Managing Director and is part of the management team.
The organization is in growth and the Sales & Marketing Manager must ensure that the company get a more structured approach to the market to ensure a larger market share. They will implement a new CRM system in the near future in line with Group policy.
The prime aim of the job is to lead and develop sales and product profitability on the Saudi Arabian market to ensure sales growth on core products and markets and to ensure we are in front and specified on all major water & waste water projects in Saudi Arabia. You develop sales to new segments and you will manage the day to day activities in both external and internal sales. With your commercial background you develop strong relationships with key clients. Besides that, as a Sales & Marketing Manager, you will improve service levels to customers ensuring the organization is seen as the preferred valve/hydrant partner in Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
• Ensure budgets for turnover, bookings and profit are achieved.
• Ensuring accurate forecasts and clean orders to help improve the service offer.
• Ensuring that key commercial objectives are implemented and monitored.
• Price control of quotations, day to day market, price developments etc.
• Implement agreed sales objectives.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts for sales and bookings.
• Working on specifications and approvals to ensure preference for our products.
• Prepare framework agreements.
• Responsibility for follow up system and quote tracking system.
• Negotiations of key projects and contracts.
• Ensuring business development initiatives are implemented and followed up.
• Setting new targets for the individual regions and business development, including preparing budgets and objectives for the sales department.
• Assisting the product department in providing accurate market and product information.
• Participate in product launch planning and implementation.
• Ensure visibility of market price levels.
• Prepare marketing plan ensuring visibility for the company in the market through exhibitions, seminars, advertising and factory visits.
The Sales Department
The sales department consist of 20 staff members, split on 4 key areas customer support, water & waste water sales, oil & gas (Saudi Aramco) and business development, each with a designated department manager reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
The successful candidate should have:
• A strong commercial background with previous management experience, preferably multicultural.
• Experience from a similar industry (valves, pumps, pipes, actuation etc.) is a must and experience dealing with the GCC region would be a preference.
• Understanding about the project business between client, contractor and consultant and how to influences decision makers.
The successful candidate would preferably have:
• A technical education combined with an extensive commercial background coupled with the ability to lead both commercial and technical negotiations.
• A background with overseas projects over long periods of time and understanding the challenges in working in a multicultural environment would be a preference.
