Repair Engineer Job Description

Fokker Aerostructures is currently looking for a Repair Engineer for our Sustaining Engineering department in Papendrecht, The Netherlands.

The Sustaining Engineering department provides engineering support to its own production units, partners, suppliers and customers. Within the department all engineering disciplines i.e. design, stress, materials & processes and configuration management work closely together.


The main responsibilities of the Repair Engineer are:

• Responsible for airworthy engineering solutions for manufacturing discrepancies and/or in-field repairs;
• Initiate and manage preventive actions to improve process and/or product;
• Work in a multidisciplinary environment with internal and external customers (from supply chain to aircraft operator);
• Report to team lead Engineering Sustaining.

Repair Engineer Job Requirements

What does Fokker Aerostructures require from the Lead Repair Engineer:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent;
• 1-5 years relevant experience;
• Fluent in English;
• Knowledge of airframe metal and composite structures;
• Knowledge of airframe stress, design and manufacturing principles;
• Excel in a dynamic environment and able to set priorities;
• Willing to work irregular hours;
• Communicator, team player.
