Production Chemist- Aberdeen Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Nalco have a number of openings for Account Support Managers / Production Chemists in our Oilfield Chemicals Group in Aberdeen. The Individuals will commonly be based in our customer's offices where they will perform the dual role of Account Support Manager and Production Chemist. Their primary responsibility will be to support the customer's operations and to develop business opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compliance with relevant legislative requirements such as produced water discharge, PON15D etc.
- Compliance with Operator and Nalco internal management systems.
- Security of supply of chemicals to the Asset(s) offshore.
- Implementation of the Asset's production chemistry management strategy.
- Providing ongoing support to the onshore production team and troubleshooting process chemistry issues.
- Provision of regular KPI reports on chemical usage and spend, progress on the agreed improvement plan, monthly progress reports and quarterly performance reviews and investigation of any non- compliances.
- Provide technical recommendations / proposals to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyse customer needs, requirements and strategic plans recommending solutions with Company programs.
- Coordinate relevant Nalco support functions to deliver the right level of service to the customer.
- In consultation with Technologists and District Management, recommend products/procedures, and actively participates in/co-ordinates field trials to evaluate subsequent performance/success.

Qualifications:
- MSc/BSc (Hons) in a Chemistry-based discipline /Chemical Engineering (or Microbiology).
- Previous offshore experience combined with previous industry experience.
- Previous experience as a Production Chemist, situated in a customer's office.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated approach to work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely on technical matters and a solid commitment to first class customer service and support.
