Function

Identify and explore strategic business development opportunities in order to expand our clinical operation services across Europe. Reports to and acts under the responsibility of the MD Clinical Research to provide executive leadership to achieve company growth and profitability in accordance with SGS Group objectives.

Responsibilities

• Actively network to establish key relationships within the (bio)pharmaceutical industry and play an active role in business development to maintain contact with sponsors on ongoing projects
• Create a business plan to grow our European clinical operations services, including identification of partners and potential acquisitions
• Build and manage a European Clinical Operations structure, including Monitoring, Outsourcing, Document Management and Regulatory Affairs
• Oversee and direct quality standards and process improvement, clinical trial knowledge, clinical compliance, strategic sourcing, clinical planning and performance across the Clinical Operations & Regulatory Affairs organization
• Manage European clinical operations budget

Profile

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD/PharmD/MD) with sciences major
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Solid clinical operations experience : Strong knowledge of clinical development, site monitoring, contract management, project and functional outsourcing management
• Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize and successfully advocate for opportunities to drive growth or improve operating performance
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and persuasion skills
