For our European Headquarters in Burscheid near Cologne, we're now seeking you (m/f) as: Senior Purchasing Program Buyer
Your responsibilities:
- Coordination of program purchasing activities in cooperation with the commodity purchasing groups (e.g. benchmark analysis make vs. buy, creation of sourcing table presentation, issuing nomination letter)
- Support all program purchasing activities within the Customer Purchasing organization starting from phase 0 and over lifetime e.g. Onside support for launch and JIT
- Control and approval of all program purchasing activities and decisions in line with customer demands and commodity strategies
- Provide financial expertise/support in terms of specifications, tooling + investment budgets, customer conditions, cost tracking, etc. in order to meet program and purchasing goals
- Coordinate the supply chain requirements e.g. when/how to source, early sourcing, cross program supplier selection etc.
- Improvement of program-profitability as well as of all purchasing activities for the purposes of continuous improvement through global sourcing, long/life-time reductions etc.

Senior Purchasing Program Buyer Job Requirements
Your qualifications:
- Commercial or technical degree and appropriate job experience
- Some years within the industry, automotive or commodity related, purchasing experience, operational and strategic involvement
- Ability to recalculate the cost structur of product or processes
- Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people & to lead negotiations
- Aquired international work experience are an advantage
- Good knowledge of SAP R/3 module MM/ SRM, MS- Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, other languages are an advantage
