Job Location: Tilburg, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands
The Manufacturing Manager will provide direct management for the local production departments in Tilburg, The Netherlands. This includes to plan, direct and coordinate production for the Tilburg Fragrances Operation to meet the Company Business Plan.
Scope:
Manage the activities of the Fragrance Liquid Compounding, Filling, and Encapsulation departments in the Tilburg Fragrance Manufacturing Facility. Ensure that expectations of both internal and external customers are met by manufacturing high quality fragrance compounds and encapsulations that ship on time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Active, hands on management of the Tilburg fragrance manufacturing organization and all their respective activities in Tilburg.
• Alignment of production activities with all cross functional departments (Logistics, Customer Service, EH&S, Quality, Finance, HR and Procurement).
• Implementing best practices and projects that lead to and support world-class manufacturing environments.
• Provide leadership and guidance to develop and optimize a superior production organization with focuses on Safety, Quality, On Time Performance, Cost Control, and Continuous Improvement.
• Lead and support root cause analysis to continuously improve quality and drive down costs.
• Contribute to the development of global standards and procedures.
• Ensure all safety procedures and guidelines are implemented and enforced.
• Effectively deal with local employee issues that arise and ensure consistent interpretation and application of company policies and procedures.
• Manage staffing levels to match capacity requirements.
• Mentor and develop subordinate leaders.
• Manage the performance of personnel to improve overall productivity.

Essential:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management
• 7 – 10 years of relevant supervisory and industry experience in a manufacturing environment
• Customer (internal and external) service mentality
• Good financial understanding
• Comfortable with the concept of accountability
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
• Cultural savvy
• Experience working in or with a US multinational company
• Background in Lean Manufacturing Principals and Good Manufacturing Practices
• SAP familiarization
Preferred:
• Masters Degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management
• Pharmaceutical, Food Processing or Flavor/Fragrance experience; Food Safety and Hygiene knowledge
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma etc.
• Experience working in a matrix organization
• Experience working in US multinational company
