Site Engineering Manager Job Description

• To follow-up Company Policies and Procedures and to complete all the main engineering administrative tasks correctly and on time. Supports organization’s goals and values.
• To organize and ensure excellent performance of Engineering Services to the Plants, R&D and Site Maintenance at the Amsterdam site.
• To bring about improvements in working methods and organization, and to promote standardization.
• To deploy resources for the effective management of planned and ad hoc engineering activities for Processes, Mechanical and EIA equipment, systems and installations at Production Units, R&D and Site Maintenance.
• To manage all the engineering activities regarding all the site capital projects.
• To ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of operations at the department, for instance through the effective control of the scope and costs of planned activities and the fast and flexible execution of ad hoc tasks.
• To supervise compliance with industrial safety regulations and the relevant statutory rules and standards.
• Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Uses intuition and experience to complement work flows and procedures.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.
• Develops workable implementation plans; Communicates changes effectively.
• Delegates work assignments; Matches the responsibility to the person; Sets expectations and monitors delegated activities.

  • nominating staff members for transfers, promotion, training programs etc.
  • transferring know-how and insights, and to substantiate solutions

Site Engineering Manager Job Requirements

• At least Higher Professional Education, Technical University degree.
• At 5-10 years of professional experience in Engineering or Project Management.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;
