Product Manager Job Description

The ROCKWOOL Group is the world’s leading supplier of innovative products and systems based on stone wool, improving the environment and the quality of life for millions of people. Together with other building-related products such as acoustic ceilings, cladding boards and consultancy business, the Group ensures energy efficient and fire-safe buildings with good acoustics and a comfortable indoor climate. 

Within the Marketing and Business Development department we are looking for a Technical passionate and driven 

Product Manager 

Together with an enthusiastic team of professionals, you will assure the most optimal product portfolio in the market. Your positive contribution enables Rockwool to obtain the business goals. Your focus lies in the area of Multi Unit Housing within the Residential Buildings segment. You cooperate closely with the Market Manager, you report to the Director Marketing and Business Development.

Tasks and responsibilities

Product Management
• Identify new product or product-market combination and jointly set pragmatic business plans to implement
• Lead one or more project teams in order to develop new product or product-market combination
• Optimize existing product or product-market combination

Quality
• Responsible for the product quality and – policy of Rockwool (including product life cycle)
• Create and maintain agreements with Production 
• Generate improvement proposals
• Responsible for the base/foundation of the product specifications through certification and internal/external tests

Knowledge
• Develop and document knowledge of concerned product groups
• Supervise and transfer of this knowledge to sales- en market colleagues 
• Jointly compose technical documentation

Product Manager Job Requirements

We ask
• Education in Construction or Mechanical Engineering on Bachelor/Master level
• Experience general building systems
• Affinity with commerce, result driven, feeling for new chances
• You are an entrepreneurial person and market focused 
• Experience with product development and implementation
• Experience with project management
• Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language, German is much appreciated
