Department
The department for Mechatronics is responsible for the specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronics sub-systems and components which are fitted into end products. The main focus of the department is on intelligent motion control of high speed components. Control engineering, dynamics, actuator design, position measurement systems and material handling are part of this department’s main competences.
Job Mission
As member of a multi disciplinary team, design and implement machine application, e.g. control sequences to trigger subsystem activation and data collection and initiate timely distribution of process correction data to the various software sub-systems.
Job Description
Involved with all stages of specifying, designing, testing and integrating the advanced software. Implementation of middleware software for controlling test equipment and / or machine modules. Integrating your software setups and / or prototype machine, and helping colleagues with the use of the software into their applications to perform experiments on test rigs. Examining whether new technologies can be used to deploy new software functionality.
Educational Level
Bachelor or Master level with an education in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Informatics, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or comparable. At least 2 years of working in a relevant (technical) software development environment. Demonstrable expertise in C, C++, object oriented programming, Unix/Linux, Solaris, realtime, Python, VxWorks, MATLAB and software configuration management.
Personal Skills
The candidate should have a systematic approach with an analytical thinking. Should be result oriented and pragmatic; conceptual and creative. Should be interested in technical and practical experience with automation, and use software skills to develop best mechatronic solutions. Have excellent communication skills in English and should be a good team player.
