Job MissionASML is seeking a Tax Manager in its Chandler, AZ office to strengthen the corporate tax department of this fast-growing company. This position will report to the Sr. Manager Corporate Tax Affairs US and will join the existing team of three (senior) tax managers who are jointly responsible for US tax matters. The job will require internal interfaces with all ASML departments and Senior Management and external interfaces with outside counsel and consultants, tax authorities and other (governmental) institutions. The Tax Manager must be able to identify tax related risks and opportunities in all tax disciplines, analyze options and make decisions, with a heavy emphasis on US corporate income tax and US sales and use tax. As a member of the Corporate Tax Affairs team, you’ll face demanding challenges that require your insight and analysis to keep the company compliant and optimize the company’s worldwide tax burden.ASML is a world leader in the manufacture of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry. Job Description-Support and execute the global tax strategy of the ASML group of companies; Contribute and ensure adherence to the regional tax strategy, seamlessly connecting to the Global Tax Strategy for the ASML Group.
-Provide efficient tax advice to senior management based on expected future developments, including advice on cross border transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
-Participate in cross sector projects as representative of the US Tax Team.
-Manage and ensure completion of various regional tax projects, including the activities of outside consultants.
-Research and provide guidance on corporate income tax, withholding taxes and other taxes.
-Manage US income tax audits, property tax audits, sales tax audits, tax inquiries, and tax notices.
-Lead the design and execution of projects aimed at positioning the tax function for the future by simplifying, standardizing, and automating tax processes.
-Maintain professional and technical knowledge to stay abreast of tax and technology changes and advancements. Education-Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business discipline, or equivalent experience.
-MST and/or CPA preferred. Experience-8+ years’ experience in US corporate income tax, including international tax and transfer pricing, preferably as an in-house tax counsel or within a big four environment or similar environment.
