The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E the cluster department Machine Conditioning is responsible for the definition, realization and qualification of flow and vacuum, thermal conditioning, transport and generation of particles.
The Quality Manager reports to the Cluster Quality Manager (CQM) and works closely together with the D&E Department Managers.
Job Mission
In the position of Quality manager, you and your team are key contributors to the development and embedding of Quality for ASML’s lithographic products. You are driving the Quality & continuous improvements based on the Business priority roadmap and cluster needs in cooperation with multidisciplinary group and sector representatives.
As Quality manager, you are responsible to define (Critical to Quality) and drive operational quality plus implementation of continuous improvements to meet/exceed ASML customers’ requirements in terms of reliability, availability, technology, manufacturability/serviceability and costs within the boundaries imposed by process and planning. You pro-actively drive the development work in your team and participate in reviewing designs. But above all, you will use your leadership and teamwork skills to get problems solved and optimize team performance. You will be reporting to the Cluster Quality manager.

You work together within a team of Quality engineers and other Quality managers. Your focus is on securing quality and commonality within the clusterAccountable for accurate/validated reporting with clear forecasting from Function level towards Main department managerYou drive qualitative deliverables and create visibility of related risks and embedding of continuous improvements (process related)You secure yearly target settings based on business priorities and specific cluster department improvements and track through dashboardingYou interact with project leaders, function owners and architect in the development programs as well as department level interaction and allocation of department staff in line with program needsYou focus on first time right, zero defects and zero repeats.
Education
Bachelor or Master Degree in preferably a technical area.Experience5-10 years experience in developing, integrating and testing complex multi disciplinary products.Proven Quality management skills in a development organization (QMS, quality organization, CtQ’s, WBS) and clear vision/strategy.Strong preference to have a track record in FMEA’s, 8D methodology, DFSS, reliability engineering.Experience in managing people without power.Personal skills Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills. Ability to work in an international multicultural setting. Ability to think and act on a strategic level. Analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude. Fluent in English writing and speaking.
