Industrial Engineer Electrical - HMI Job Description
Introduction
Do you like to be the linking pin between high-tech product development and a global factory & field organization supporting the major semiconductor manufacturers? Do you have what it takes to industrialize innovative complex designs in a way that they can be manufactured and serviced in a short timeframe and with a high success rate? Than this could be the next challenge in your career!Hermes Microvision, Inc. (HMI), an ASML company, is a leading supplier of advanced Electronic (E)-beam inspection and pattern verification systems used for advanced semiconductor devices. HMI has multiple years of e-beam application experience and leadership in semiconductor factories, focused on high resolution and voltage contrast imaging. As part of ASML, HMI will boost ASML’s holistic lithographic portfolio of (i) lithography exposure systems, (ii) computational lithography and (iii) metrology. Between these three cornerstones ASML offers application products for process window enhancement, control and detection. With your colleagues within this department you cover all competencies needed for our E-beam equipment and for the complete applications business line. This results in a broad job scope covering multiple technical competencies. The programs and projects are relatively small and have short development cycles resulting in quick feedback loops on industrialization performance.
Job Mission
You represent the customer support and factory manufacturing sector in the product and process development. In this role you secure the product meets the required assembly cycle time and field availability. You ensure the product and process design is as such that your colleagues at our factory and at our customers sites are able to optimally manufacture and service our complex equipment.
Job Description
- The job of industrialization engineer consists of the following:
- Translation of product specifications to requirements in product design and manufacturing and service processes such as factory cycle time and product availability.
- During the co-design phase you ensure the product is designed as such that it can be assembled in our factory and maintained at our customers within required timeframe and with high success rate.
- You do the preparation for the factory and service processes including all required assembly, test and service procedures, training documentation, definition of out of control action plans, diagnostics, Statistical Process Control parameters, tooling and spare parts.
- New product introduction by validating manufacturing and service procedures during prototype build, training our factory and service personnel and supporting them during pilot build and early customer introduction phase. If needed travel to solve complex problems on site within their expertise (international travel max 10%).
- Analysis of the performance in our factory and service organization and define improvements to meet initial product specification. The Electronic (E)-beam machine production is established in 3 independent production lines (work centers) to focus on E-beam machine, Electrical Engineering (EE) module and Second Electron Microscope (SEM) module High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).The Industrialization engineer is also focusing on different production lines to excise the industrialization job. E-beam machine industrialization engineer, EE module industrialization engineer and SEM module industrialization engineer. All of them are in our scope.E-beam machine production line : E-beam machine production line that build the machine from module, sub system and some single parts, and output complete E-beam machine. The E-beam machine technical content mechanical system, electrical system, physical system, computer system. The E-beam machine industrialization engineer will focus on the e-beam machine production line industrialization. The wide technical knowledge and whole machine integration experience will benefit on this portion.EE modules : In HMI EE modules are defined as electrical module. In general, one E-beam machine will content 50+ electrical module. Those Key EE module is design for the E-beam control and subsystem control. Those EE modules technical content digital circuit, analog circuit, high voltage power supply, Digital/Analog, Analog/Digital, communication. In the factory EE production line, the EE module is built from PCB assembly to module. The EE module industrialization engineer is to deal every single EE module industrialization. Electrical background, wide electrical knowledge and experience on the electrical related product industrialization will benefit on this portion.
- SEM modules : SEM (Second Electron Microscope) modules are E-beam Kernel modules, they content 2 modules. (E-beam source and E-beam deflection device). The factory SEM production line is build the SEM modules from single metal piece to the complete SEM module. The SEM modules technical content physic system (electrical-optical), Arcing control, Ultra-High Vacuum system, Ultra-Clean control, Material (Metal Alloy). The SEM
- industrialization engineer is deal the SEM production line industrialize. Wide physical or technical back ground, experience on Ultra-Clean/Vacuum will benefit on this portion.
