Internal Auditor - Operations Job Description

Reporting to the Business Process and Documentation Control Technical Specialist, The chosen candidate will Plan the annual QMS Audit schedules and Conduct internal audits in a timely manners against the various standards achieved by the company or required by the customer (IATF16949:2016, IRIS, VDA, CQIs and ISO1400I and other applicable Standards).  Whilst assisting the Management Team to ensure that documentation controls are appropriate for the organization, the chosen candidate will monitor and support the effective and timely closure of issues raised during audits being Internal, Customer and Certification Audits so as to provide Quality Assurance support as necessary. The chosen candidate will also support in the management and maintenance of Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 Quality Documentation and support in the preparation of the annual Quality Management Review meetings in accordance with Certification requirements to the Management Team.

The chosen candidate will also host 3rd Party audits for the Quality Management Systems carried out by Certification Bodies and Customers (example, IATF16949:2016 and IRIS and will liaise with Certification bodies and Authorities when issues arise. The chosen candidate will also give Induction training of new staff on the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

Internal Auditor - Operations Job Requirements

• Preferably having a Technical Degree or Diploma in this field, or at least 3 years work experience in Quality Assurance, combined with experience within the manufacturing environment.
• Preferably having ISO/TS16949/ IATF16949:2016 Lead Auditor Certification or ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
• Possess in-depth knowledge of the purpose of a QMS and the Certification processes (for applicable certifications).
• Able to interpret all clauses of the Organization Certifications (e.g. IATF16949:2016, ISO14001, & IRIS).
• Employ the principles, processes and techniques needed to host 3rd party audits against the requirements of the respective certification requirements for the Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in Quality Management Systems Core Tools, Quality Systems rules and regulations including planning and implementation.
• Oral and written skills, strong interpersonal skills and superior organizational abilities.
• Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment is essential.
• Ability to be flexible and multitasking.
• Methodical approach, enthusiastic with an emphasis on accuracy and quality of work.
• Goal Oriented Self Starter and an excellent Communicator.
• PC-based computing experience is essential.
