To operate as a technical expert for engine testing within EMS Facilities section; also to offer support/expertise for vehicle testing, especially relating to test equipment and data acquisition (excluding CDM emissions testing).
To take responsibility for provision of “best practice” test methods and processes, including suitable equipment, data collection, and data processing. This will be particularly focused on engine testing using engine dynamometers. The target in doing this is to provide or create “expert” experimental capability in Facilities section – currently systems engineers are doing too much of this work.
