The Initial Buyer Controls is responsible for controls components and assemblies at a tactical level. Are you the controls hardware and technology specialist and a procurement professional? This might be your next step!
Your department
The Procurement department is part of our Supply Chain Center Europe within our Global Supply Chain organization. The Supply Chain Center Europe (SSC EU) is responsible for the integrated supply of goods and services to projects. Smooth execution of projects is depending on a strong supply chain. Quality, capacity, short lead times and on time delivery are key as well as sharp pricing, high flexibility and strong commitment of suppliers.
For projects, the Procurement team is responsible for tactical and operational procurement. The team supports projects in all phases (sales, execution and service) and focusses - for Vanderlande- and third party equipment and services - on first time right budgeting, early supplier allocation, identification of opportunities and mitigation of risks.
Your position
The Initial Buyer Controls is part of the controls team consisting of a sourcing manager, an initial buyer and two operational buyers. Within this team, the Initial Buyer is responsible for all tactical procurement activities.Responsibilities of the Initial Buyer are:
