Group Leader High Level Controls (HLC) Job Description

Your challenge
• Manage a team of around 60 software engineers (40 employees plus 20 contractors) up to hay level 70
• Manage contracting companies and negotiate frame-, time and material- as well as work package contracts
• Ensure billability and chargeability in the group according to target setting
• Support the project execution and the product development with sufficient skillsets of software engineering expertise
• Align with the business regarding expectations and needs of software development skillsets and to ensure a sustainable capacity growth
• Align with the product development and the technology group to ensure sustainable knowledge development
• Personal development of the individual person as well as the development of the hole team to ensure
     o best knowledgeable software engineers 
     o well balanced capacities of knowledge areas
     o highly motivated and committed software engineers
     o self-responsible acting teams

Your department
The software development team is in Veghel and develops HLC software for R&D, Airport projects and ACP (Automated Case Picking).

Main challenges for the team (and its group lead) are:
• Alignment with teams in Dortmund and Pune regarding processes, way of working and technology;
• Knowledge transfer between engineers to spread expertise on certain components and projects;
• Execute projects in other domains (Warehouse and Parcel);
• Execute projects in physically distributed teams;
• Increase efficiency by working Agile and by using Continuous Integration and Delivery;

Group Leader High Level Controls (HLC) Job Requirements

​Your profile
• Bachelor or Master education
• Strong People manager, able to manage large group of international professionals
• Experience with working in software development teams
• Dutch and English language skills are obligatory
