Description of the assignment
To increase the efficiency of repeating testing and keep up to speed in a fast developing (Agile) world, test automation is an important enabler. On this moment, a test automation framework for tests in an Emulation environment has been developed. The basic functionality is working, however more functionality should be added to the framework.
By automating tests on the emulated test environment, we can:
• Lower the chances of human error in tests;
• Increase reproducibility of the test result;
• Decrease the amount of test time in the critical project path.
Your tasks / responsibilities
• Evaluate the status of the test automation framework;
• Implement new functionalities to the existing test automation framework;
• Investigate how to fit within existing interfacing & framework;
• Communicate and involve stakeholders;
• Validate the framework by automating tests in cooperation with the testers;
• Deliver with documentation of the new functionalities and test cases.
Your profile
• Independent worker;
• C# programmer;
• Able to communicate with different stakeholders;
• Nice to have: experience in SpecFlow, NUnit.
Description of the department
The Research & Development (R&D) department of Vanderlande is responsible for the development of new products for internal material handling systems for Airports, Parcel and Warehousing. The project's development team which consists of testers, developers, a system architect, a project manager cooperates to deliver a quality product.The R&D System/Software Test Engineering team prepares and executes the system tests on both physical and emulated systems. The team has 15 members, divided over the whole R&D department.
