This is the Role
As Account Manager you will develop new business in the EMEA region for Eastman Additives and Functional Products. Focused on packaging and hygiene you will be responsible for identifying and closing New Business opportunities with new and existing customers and key leverage points in the Value Chain. You will actively seek collaboration with internal stakeholders like Technology, Business and Marketing to lead and drive growth projects.
In pursuit of the targets for growth, you identify and prioritize current customers and prospects, preparing a Territory Management Plan to organize face-to-face meetings with key contacts from which sustainable relationships and business opportunities are developed and maintained. You identify and interact with our direct customers as well as Brand Owners. From these interactions, you discover unmet needs and match these with Eastman solutions. You will be traveling significantly (60%) to meet and engage with existing and potential customers at all levels. Travel in Europe (mainly in Central-Western Europe) and occasional to the US is expected.
Reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager, you will fulfil a key role in the commercial growth of Eastman Chemical in Europe, Middle East and Africa. This position will preferably be in one of our offices in Germany, Belgium or Netherlands. Home office could be an option.
This is who you are
You are a result oriented Sales professional with a relentless drive and a bias for action. As our customers first point of contact you will interface with different stakeholders and cultures. Furthermore, you bring a highly-developed commercial acumen, technical capabilities, contracting experience and strong communication and collaboration skills. General knowledge of formulating and processing would be highly recommended. Insights into the hygiene or packaging market would be appreciated.
This is what you bring
· BSc or MSc Chemistry or Chemical Engineering;
· Minimum of 5 years of sales and technical experience in the chemical or process industry;
· Fluent communication skills in English, other European languages are helpful;
· Proven track record in developing business.
