Job Mission
As Group Team Lead (GTL) of ASML's Software Factory Integration and Factory Automation (FAFI) group, you work closely together with the group lead to lead and manage a group of software professionals.The FAFI group is responsible for the external system interfaces of the ASML scanner products. Ensuring that the existing system interface behavior remains backwards compatible while introducing new functionality is key for this group.

The Group Team Lead:
- Has an active role in hiring/leaving, coaching, problem solving and escalation management.
- Assists the group lead in alignment with projects on allocation, risk management and progress tracking.
- Is part of the FAFI core team which is in place to align on organizational aspects (e.g. the group way of working).
- Has routine meetings with a subset of the group members to stimulate and facilitate the personal development and provide regular feedback on performance.
- Has an active role in identifying and pulling improvements to the group (or department) way of working.
- Maintains contact with group of flex suppliers.
- Functions as backup for the Group Lead in case of absence.
Context of the positionContext of the positionThe Group Team Lead reports to the Group Lead of FAFI.Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the development of ASML products. Within this sector the department Machine Control & Infrastructure (MCI) is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the software of the complex lithographic machines. Software engineers from MCI are facing several aspects of motion control, production control, data management and Interface control.
A huge code base is maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between different machine types.The FAFI group is responsible for the external system interfaces of the ASML scanner products. Ensuring that the existing system interface behavior remains backwards compatible while introducing new functionality is key for this group.
ASML - Software Group Team Lead Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Software Engineering, Computer Sciences or Engineering and a background in software development in a technical environment.
ExperienceKnowledge of software development is a must.
- >3 years relevant leadership experience in a technical software development environment or related working environment.
- Technical background of semiconductor industry processes, process integration, process control, semiconductor devices and manufacturing is preferable.
- Experience of Agile/scrum methodology and practices in preferable.
Personal skills Personal skills- Strong personal communicator and leadership skills.
- Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural setting.
- Pragmatic problem solving approach.
