Summary
Under the direction of the Regional R&D Director/Team lead and the Project Managers, the Lab Technician is responsible for the use of pilot plant equipment to produce samples of chocolate based products, to obtain, weigh and combine ingredients according to a formulation. Prepares and molds samples if needed for shipment to customers.
Accountabilities
Conduct a specified process, evaluate the chemical and physical properties of the products made and developed in the laboratory using instruments like viscometers and micrometers. Be able to follow directions and keep written accurate records that can be used to reproduce experimental conditions. Understand the manufacturing of chocolate products and their key properties. Be able to temper chocolates with training. Compile and analyze the results obtained in the production of the chocolate samples prepared in the pilot plant. Use the system of data-processing to enter the data from the products used and from the results obtained in the tests performed. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment in the plant unit and as well with the tools and the equipments used.
