Chevron Oronite Technology b.v. in Rotterdam is one of Oronite’s four technology centers and provides product development and technical service support for Chevron Oronite’s automotive and marine lubricant additives.
Function
· Develops additive formulations for automotive engine oils.
· Designs, supervises and evaluates experiments in laboratory-, engine- and field testing.
· Studies how chemical and physical characteristics of lubricant additives and base oils impact engine performance.
· Transfers research results into the development of new products.
· Provides technical support to internal and external parties for optimizing the engine lubrication system.
· Communicates results of test program through reports and presentations. Provides training in area of expertise.
· Works with engine manufacturers and industry groups to develop test methods.
Profile
· A master or PhD degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
· 5+ years of experience in the area of lubricants or additives for lubricants is preferable.
· Understanding of internal combustion engines and operation principles is preferable.
· Project management experience.
· Good communicative skills and an excellent command of the English language.
· Enthusiastic team player who is flexible and can work in international, multi-cultural teams.
