ASML - System Layout Architect Job Description
Enable that new functionality (roadmap) can be integrated in the machine by finding good layout solutions. Drive for continuous improvement on manufacturability and serviceability of the DUV machines.
Job Description
- Maintain and update system level SEG docs.
- Define mechanical sub-budgets for projects (volume files, mass specs, clearance/ tolerance specs, etc)
- Do layout studies. To find solutions for new functionality, upgrades and other improvements.
- Regular reviews/ carousels with projects:
- Review new designs & design changes on industrialization aspects (manufacturability, serviceability, modularity, etc).
- Check that they stay within their volume, mass and tolerance budgets
- Identify and solve cross-project layout issues. Involve SE incase of important trade offs.
- Perform tests in cleanroom on critical layout aspects and integration steps
Context of the positionYou will be part of the Mechanical Layout (ML) project, which is responsible for the mechanical system architecture. The team doesn't deliver hardware themselves, but has an overall responsibility during the whole V-cycle, that the total system can be build, transported, installed and serviced in a safe and efficient way.
ASML - System Layout Architect Job Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in a Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- >3 years working experience as architect, preferably at ASML
- Experience in managing layout of complex designs
- Knowledge of Siemens NX; preferably with large assembly volumes
- Experience with industrialization of complex systems
Personal skills- Helicopter view. Easily can determine priorities and main risks.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong in convincing others (on importance industrialization aspects)
- Critical attitude towards others (get all risks and collateral damage on the table)
- Teamplayer on all levels (SE, architects, management, factory engineers
