Job Description
The software of our EUV systems plays an essential role in the production of chips at our customers. To ensure that the software meets its requirements the Product Software Test Architect determines what needs to be tested and how. By determining the new features and their impact on system level, performing risk assessments on the changes made, the Product Software Test Architects creates a master test plan.
Together with the test team leader a detailed test plan is constructed and executed. Based upon the test results he provides an advice to the project whether the software is ready for release towards internal and/or external customers.Next to his role in the project the Product Software Test Architect works together with the other Test Architects and aligns the way of working between the projects, defines the test roadmap, identifies improvements to test more efficiently and effectively, and implements them
Context of the position
Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of ASML products. In this sector, the department Software EUV Source specifies, executes and controls the testing and integration of the software of various EUV subsystems into a complete software release.
The Product Software Test Architect is responsible for defining what and how the new software items should be tested. Hierarchal he reports to the Manager Test and Integration group EUV Source and operational to the software release project leaders
