As architect in ASML's Machine Control & Infrastructure department you will be responsible for the architecture of the platform software of the scanners. This platform contains HW for computer systems, Operating systems, software release tooling and generic facilities like data storage, logging, tracing, performance monitoring tooling, etc.In this job you will work closely together with the sub system architects and the ASML wide function owner for computer systems.
Job Description
In this role you are accountable for the functional design, integrate-ability & testability of the (software part) computer systems platform. You have a strong contribution to increase the efficiency and consistency of computer systems developments.Your main task is to define the architecture of the next platform version and support the sub system architects in the execution of the current platform version. Next to this task you are able to get roadmap items on the agenda of system engineers such that they land in software release specifications.
For the items on the platform agenda you will create a first design such that lead designers in projects can take the next steps. As computer systems platform we have the ambition to have a platform available before the application development starts on top of it. This architecture must enable us to deliver the computer systems software ahead of the application software in 5 years from now.This journey has started recently and we need an architect who can drive this change with all stakeholders within ASML.
Context of the position
This position is within the Software Machine Control & Infrastructure department, which is a part of the Sector Development & Engineering. You will be part of an architecture team in the group which is responsible for the architecture test and integration of computer systems and SW services (SW facilities and Infrastructure of the ASML product)
Degree in MSc, PDEng or PhD in computer science, software engineering, system engineering, or equivalent
Experience
5 Years of work experience as an architect in hardware & software development is required.
