Vanderlande – challenges in motion
Your Position
In our team you will be responsible for an entire emulation project. Together with an internal customer you decide what the specifications for an emulation model will be, and write the software for it.
Other than working on a project, you will work on a software library that will be used for all our projects. Vanderlande develops its own framework for building 3D emulation models, called Viking. You will be given the opportunity to implement or suggest improvements to the Viking framework, or the generic library that builds upon it.
This gives you a lot of influence on the final product.
Your department
The systems simulation group studies the logistic performance of complicated material handling systems developed and deployed by Vanderlande. Our work supports internal departments and several international Customer Centres in their ability to make offers to customers, and realise projects.
The 3D simulation models are used to determine the performance of a material handling system in the design phase, thereby preventing a plethora of issues before they arise.Other than simulation models, we also develop emulation models. These models are connected to the real control software that will be controlling the physical system, which allows us to test the control software in advance. Furthermore, this allows us to train operators in a controlled environment.
The team that develops these models is looking for another Software Engineer with knowledge of Java.
