SoC Integration Design Engineer - Automotive Systems (m/f) Job Description

We are looking for a hardware design engineer for the development of complex systems for the Infotainment (IVI), Software Defined Cockpit (SDC) and Advanced Driver Technology (ADT) market segments. The main focus area is the integration of Intel's latest SoC technology in high volume manufacturing (HVM) designs as well as reference systems.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Evaluate customer requirements (RFI, RFQ phase) as well as change requests (CR's)
• Create technical specifications for third party suppliers based on customer and internal requirements
• Contribute from hardware point of view to the product specification
• Develop complex hardware systems based on our SOC's considering high speed signal and power integrity requirements
• Define the input requirements and specifications for the layout, simulation and validation engineers and support them to get their work done in time
• Specify and negotiate the required PCB technology considering functional and cost target
• Support TSD internal and external departments (architecture, engineering, marketing, quality, manufacturing and purchasing) during the product development and sustaining phase.
• Support product improvement or cost reduction activities as well as customer return processes
• Observe the market for key technologies like DDR memories and work together with suppliers and internal departments to formulate our needs for the automotive market.
• Initiate and/or support competitor analysis and technical benchmarking activities

SoC Integration Design Engineer - Automotive Systems (m/f) Job Requirements

Skills we are looking for:

• Self-motivated,
• well organized,
• excellent communication and influencing skills (good communicator, motivator, listener) 
• Ability to work independently and successfully under tight project deadlines within cross-functional internal, external and sub-con teams 
• Experience in working on international projects beneficial, should be prepared to travel as required. 
• Design-in experience for common high speed interfaces like PCIe, SATA, USB3, HDMI etc. 
• Automotive system knowledge with a good understanding of OEM, TIER1 and end-user requirements is advantageous 
• Experience in Mentor DxDesigner Design-Entry is advantageous
• Experience in HW development process according ISO 26262 is advantageous 

• Graduate Hardware Engineer in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Master at University or at University of Applied Sciences) 
• At least 5 years' experience in development of products in automotive or similar industry, preferably in the field of IVI systems 
• Fluent in German and English, verbally and written
