ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment.
Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.
To achieve this, our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors. This results in increasingly powerful and capable electronics that enable the world to progress within a multitude of fields, including healthcare, technology, communications, energy, mobility, and entertainment.
ASML - Physics / Chemical Engineer with experience in Yield Engi Job Description
As a Yield Engineer you will develop and execute performance and diagnostic tests for the qualification of (sub)systems. You will create testplans, execute these, verify the measurement techniques, analyse and document the results and propose solutions to close performance gaps.
Job Description
We are looking for an all-round Yield Engineer, who will participate in:
- Development of new tests and execution of these tests in the cleanroom;
- Validation and setup of defect-inspection tools (SEM, reticle- and wafer-inspection equipment);
- Data analysis, often including the development of the analysis tooling itself;
- Support customer and factory issues and escalations.
This work will be in a dynamic environment; both on the topics that need to be worked on and the boundary conditions for the tests themselves are changing often. Linking macro-scale items (for example air/ water flows) to micro-scale defects has proven to be challenging.
You will participate in defectivity projects that are responsible for the qualification of the scanner performance during the system integration phase and will be supporting manufacturing and customer support. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams, together with other projects responsible for hardware and software modules, system engineering and marketing. You will need imagination and creativity, as well as analytical skills to drive defectivity qualification and trouble-shooting in case of deviations. You need to be assertive while also being a team player and build on the knowledge and help from other specialists within the ASML community.
