ASML - EUV Service Operations Manager Job Description
Customer service is driving improvements to build a world-class service organization enabling the ramp of EUV into volume production at our customer sites. In the coming few years the installed base of EUV systems will double and then double again. At the same time, the efficiency of the service organization also needs to double… twice. This is only possible when we are able to design, implement and lock-in mature operational management methods into the service organizationYou will lead a small team of change managers and operations personnel responsible for implementing operational management standards in the EUV service organization.
This will include:
- Designing/modifying operational management standards (for example local organization blueprint, dashboards, system health monitoring, etc.).
- Build containment tooling for measurement and reporting
- Manage pilot implementation in CS and cross-sector where applicable
- Define requirements for structural measurement and reporting tooling
- Roll out volume methods and tooling
- Define and manage control structures to monitor success of implementation in volume
Your scope includes CS EUV cost management, system performance management and service performance management.The role of CS EUV Service Operations Manager is challenging. You will need to embed changes in the CS EUV organization in a way that is both effective and sustainable. You will have stakeholders to manage at many management levels and across multiple continents. You will need to balance between short-term operational issues and long-term objectives.
When you are successful, you will also play a pivotal role in ramping EUV into volume production at our customers.As a member of the CS NPI-NTR EUV Staff you will have an opportunity to set the direction of the EUV support organization and secure ASML's future by building an effective and efficient EUV service organization.
Job Description - CS EUV Performance Management
- Own the CS EUV dashboard and heartbeat (beat the drum)
- Drive quality in performance management reporting and gap closure plans
- Setup, pilot and embed system performance management in the operation
- Setup, pilot and embed service performance management in the operation
CS EUV Cost Management- Define, align, rollout and maintain organization manpower blueprints
- Drive the L1 (field) labor cost reduction roadmap
Manage CS EUV Organization Standards- Define and align organization standards such as roles & responsibilities, organization structure, reporting
- Roll out and maintain these standards as a common framework to drive continuous improvement in the EUV service organization
- Build and manage a team of people to achieve the above. Starting small (2 people) and growing to what is needed to be successful
Context of the position The holder of this position reports to the Director CS NPI-NTR EUV.
ASML - EUV Service Operations Manager Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering; knowledge of electronics, mechanics, optics, software, semiconductor processes, and related disciplines.
Experience- >10 years (project) service management experience in a dynamic industry, preferably high-tech industry.
- You understand and have experience in running a large scale and time critical operation
- Experience in driving change in a large, complex, global organization.
- Experience within the ASML organization, specifically with Operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of ASML products on a technical level is a plus, but not essential.
Personal skills- We are looking for a driven, independent operational manager with strong change management skills. You need to be capable of influencing people without formal authority, also at higher management levels. You are able to think in terms of processes and also drive action to achieve results.
- You will be a key interface between local CS teams and headquarters team in Veldhoven and San Diego. This includes CS as well as D&E / program. Strong multi-cultural communication skills are essential. Building and leveraging networks inside and outside the CS organization comes naturally to you.
Other InformationPosition will include periodic, scheduled travel (~15-25%)
