ASML - DE SW - Source Computer Systems (CS) Architect Job Description

Working in the EUV Source Computer Systems team, you will be the Architect of the team (approx. 8 people, growing) providing the computing platform for the EUV light source (Source) of the next generation lithography machines.This includes improving the operating system(s), network topology, virtualization, portability layers, system installation, patching, backing-up, handle End-of-Live issues.

As function Architect you are responsible for overall roadmap, design choices and high level requirements & design. You need to align with all relevant stakeholders like hardware, test & integration, functional clusters, etc. to come to the best solutions that serve the ‘-ilities' (like maintainability, scalability, ...) The Source Computer Systems team has a counterpart at Scanner side. You will be aligning with your counterparts on strategy and solutions so that (long term) the best choices are made for ASML as a whole.You will be addressing the requests from the EUV program. Doing this you need to keep quality, requested timelines and long term strategy in mind. As architect you will discuss planning and estimations with your Team Lead and Project Leader on regular (daily) basis.

ASML - DE SW - Source Computer Systems (CS) Architect Job Requirements

Education

• MSc in computer science or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in development of technical software for industrial machine development.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as architect in similar environments
• Experience with multiple Operating Systems (VxWorks, CentOS, Windows,...)
• Experience with multiple HW platforms (e.g. bladecenters, ATCA)

• Good communicative skills

• Analytical
• Good knowledge of English
